Puppy and adolescent training consists of 6 private lessons to give you and your puppy a solid basic education with a focus on:

    • Relaxation

    • Improving your dog's confidence in new situations

    • Promoting desired behaviors through reinforcement

    • Improving your own ability to read your dog's body language

Do you have a specific need that you would like to address with your dog? In private training we will not only address you and your dog's individual needs, but also address ways to enrich your dog's life and further improve your relationship. We will look at a variety of ways to meet your dog's needs (for example, rest and relaxation, play, nose work, etc.) so they can stay sustainably motivated to tackle difficult situations. Common behaviors of concern include:

    • Difficulty during grooming or medical exams

    • Reacting towards other dogs, children, or people (or other triggers)

    • Trouble staying home alone

    • Resource guarding

    • Settling into a new home

    • Hunting behavior

    • People overcoming fear of dogs

    • ...any other behaviors which you would like to address!

Private training also offers individualized lesson plans as well as video analysis of exercises and written feedback at the end of each session. Training takes place at a location of your choice and depending on your needs. This can be at home, on your regular walking route, or in a more private area to allow you to fully concentrate. We can work together to discuss the best option for you.

A social walk is a fantastic way to help improve your dog's social skills in a safe and structured environment. By keeping a safe and comfortable distance to other dogs, social walks encourage positive indirect interactions with dogs of different ages, sizes and breeds.
